The Disability Friendly Community is a network of consumers, caregivers, service providers and advocates well positioned to understand the needs of people with disabilities when they go out into the community to partake in public events. DFC has worked with an amusement park and several performance venues to ensure that the experience of people with disabilities is as welcoming and barrier-free as possible. A current project involves working with authorities to create close-proximity accessible parking at Bethlehem’s SteelStacks entertainment center.
